Maths is an incredibly important subject, both as a stand-alone subject and one that interlinks with others to provide skills and critical knowledge to take on to life beyond education. Studying Maths allows students to access a wide array of problem-solving experiences. Mathematics allows for the formulation and solution of real-world problems as well as the creation of new ideas for our evolving world. Whether that be looking at bank statements, working out recipes, planning a party, paying bills or saving for a big purchase, being number literate will help with the majority of daily life situations. We recognise that Mathematics is the means on which technological, industrial, military, economic, and political systems rely. Through developing the ability to think logically about these situations, we give students life-long attributes to succeed in their chosen paths.
