Our Computing Curriculum equips students with fundamental knowledge in 3 core areas; Information Technology, Digital Literacy and Computer Science. Through the use of computational thinking, creativity, information and computation skills, practical programming and digital skills students will develop a broad knowledge of the key skills needed to be active participants in the digital world. Pupils will equip themselves with knowledge to not only access a rapidly changing digital world, but to embed links within their studies to other subjects including Maths, Science and Design Technology. Computing ensures that pupils become digitally literate allowing them to use the skills learnt and express themselves and develop their ideas through, information and communication technology. We are dedicated to ensuring that our students leave the Academy with the skills to embrace a future of rapidly advancing computer technology and can be active participants in the digital world.
